This city, it's going to take some warming up. I haven't posted any pictures of the area yet because it's really so hot no ones ever goes outside and if you are it involves water which I don't want my camera around. Ramona asked my why are there so many houses here and no one lives here. I had to explain that in fact people do live here, they are just afraid they will melt if they go outside. I think the days hover around like 105-112, sometimes up to 115-116. So you pretty much just live in the AC or pool. The other thing is there isn't much going on in town. I literally think Mike may have one of the best jobs in the city. There is so little employment in town, everyone has to commute into Phoenix and its suburbs. The main drag of town is about a mile long and includes a bunch of new strip malls with a wide array of commerce, but that's it besides the Wal-mart on the south side of town. So needless to say I'm hoping the excitement level picks up a bit when school starts in 2 WEEKS. That's right school here starts early August, but the girls don't seem sad to have such a short summer I think they are relieved to start getting into the swing of things and meet some friends.
I must run, I am painting Ramona's room tonight as a surprise for Dr. Gore. I'm not sure I've ever painted before so wish me luck. Don't worry I'll post some pictures.
Oh yes, and Cia's 2nd birthday was yesterday, more pictures I know. She's such a little sweetie. This is her favorite book right now if you are looking for new kids' books. She likes to pretend to read it and just say Mama over and over again.
