end of an era

This weekend Mike got himself a car. The end of an era he called it. The 5 years where we chauffeured Mike around all the time or he took the bus or walked when we lived in Hasbrouck and he basically never got to use the car. I asked him if he was excited to finally have some autonomy and freedom, but he said not really, he liked us driving him around. I did too. The kids not so much.
Oh yeah, also I wanted to remind all you readers out there (and I know there are way more of you than ever comment because I often get emails from people who never leave comments and say they follow my lame blog) that this Friday is Sasha's 6th birthday and next Friday is Lucia's 2nd birthday. It would be awesome if you could drop a card in the mail, especially for Sasha as she is having no friends coming to her party since we don't really have any yet. And sisters are definitely not considered friends she told me they are just sisters, so they don't count. So I am desperately trying to think of a fun way to celebrate sans friends. May just have to be a pool party.

I wish we were there to celebrate with you guys! We think of you often. I'll be sure to get something in the mail for Sash and next week, for little Lucia.

Tell her that sisters do count. My sisters are my best friends now! Happy birthday to your girls!!

Maybe you could make Ramona and Lucia dress up in costumes as 'other people' for her party. Sasha could choose who she wants to invite...Marie Antoinette and an astronaut would be interesting table mates...
