just 1 little step

So, little Miss Lucia took her very first step today at a mere 9 months and 5 days. Pretty impressive. She is so insanely determined to get mobile. Everyday she's been trying to stand a bit longer independently and moving more rapidly between objects. So now she's reaching farther and farther to get from my leg to the couch or from the wall to the chair, etc etc. But today she actually took one step without holding onto everything. She was reaching for me from the exersaucer and actually took one step on her own. Sasha was sitting right there and I said Sasha did you see that?!! and she said yeah Lucia's trying to walk! So it's fun to see Lucia so excited about her efforts, but a bit sad to think that in another month or two she'll totally be walking. My cuddly little baby is slowly turning into a toddler!
