I Heart Flagstaff

I think I have a new favorite city, Flagstaff! We visited for Labor Day weekend and we were in love. It's yet another beautiful, mountainous college town. Most of you probably already know my other two great loves are Blacksburg and Ithaca. At least I know what I like and don't stray from a theme. I would maybe say that Flagstaff is the most striking of the three though because the mountains are much more dramatic and the downtown area the most appealing of the 3 to me. Anyhow, we had a great time getting out of the desert and it's only about a 2 1/2 hour drive straight north from us.
First we had to drop River off at the kennel, which was very sad for everyone. I was surprised how hard it was to leave him. Especially since he was an abandoned dog I just felt so guilty, like he thought he was being abandoned again. But, he did fine it seems and was so crazy to see us when he came home. Then we stopped at the Phoenix Science Museum to check out the Lego exhibit. The knight below is made out of Legos.

Sasha dressed up at the museum.Lucia happy to be playing with Legos!

Chillin' in Flagstaff

Dr. Gore on backpack duty

Girls' first day of school, 1st and 2nd grade. They have to wear a uniform of sorts. Solid, collared shirts and khaki or navy blue bottoms. Already been in school over a month!
What a cute picture of Ramona!

yay! you remembered your blog. Do you just call him Dr. Gore all the time? Do you call and ask for Dr. Gore at work? Do you answer the phone and say "Dr. Gore's wife speaking." That is so cool.
The girls are so cute in their outfits. I wish we had homeschool uniforms. I wish we could be moms together...at least in the same country!
